Friday 5: These Impeccable Engagement Ring Options Defy Convention

Many women dream about the perfect engagement ring. Maybe it’s something like their mother’s, a piece they saw in a movie, on a celebrity, or it just happens to be one they fell in love with trying on in a store. Everyone has her story, and I love hearing all about the history, however short, of people’s engagement rings. I’m especially intrigued by those who opt to go for something other than a classic diamond. There’s something about the unconventional route that I just dig, though it’s not a path I embarked on myself (maybe I should be like Victoria Beckham and have a number of engagement rings?). Whether it’s a colored gemstone in a bridal setting, a dramatic black diamond, or even a cocktail ring, as I have seen on some brides, I figure, why not? However out of the box, if this is a ring that she loves the most, and wants to wear it every day, well, why not use it for an engagement ring? Here are 5 commitment-worthy rings that dare to be different.
