Red All About It: 5 LUXURY-Bound Crimson Jewels

While it seems accurate to say that Marsala, Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year, hasn’t exactly been the hit some may have expected, it’s not too far off base. That particular shade of rusty wine doesn’t seem to have gained legions of followers, but we’ve been talking about jewels in shades of red, pink, and purple all year and then some. The difference is that these hues are bright, eye-catching, and cheerful, whereas Marsala, while still pretty in its own right, reads more as an autumnal tone. Spring and summer call for something juicier, and a combination of those aforementioned jewel tones quenches like a sweet fruit punch. Red, the most fiery of the trio, is just as alluring on its own, and I anticipate plenty of it on the show floor this year. Here are five jewels to keep an eye out for as you stroll through the aisles of JCK’s LUXURY 2015 show in a few weeks.
