Britt’s Pick: Rebecca Hook’s Cherry Blossom Earrings

Here in Washington, D.C., nothing says spring like the first sighting of the infamous cherry blossoms. Sure, they make your allergies run amok, but they’re beautiful and cheerful and a very welcome sign of the season after a long winter. Well, the sweet little pink flowers have yet to show themselves, and I’m desperate for a glimpse. When they do finally decide to bloom, they last approximately 2.5 seconds; between the roller-coaster temperatures and rain of March and April, we don’t exactly offer the most hospitable environment for them here. That’s why I’m so drawn to Rebecca Hook’s earrings, with their everlasting cherry blossoms, crafted from mother-of-pearl. In sterling silver, their price point is just right for a pick-me-up while we wait for the temperatures to do just that—pick up. If pink isn’t your thing, the blooms are also available in black mother-of-pearl, which I think creates an especially cool, edgy look.
