5 Jewelers You Should Be Following on Twitter

Earlier this week, I posted an infographic based on a study that found 70 percent of small business owners were on Twitter. It also found that 66 percent of small business owners were spending more time on social media in 2012 compared to 2011.

JCK Marketplace manager Brittany Siminitz has been profiling the best Pinterest boards from around the jewelry industry, which inspired me to hunt through JCK’s followers on Twitter to see which jewelers were getting the most of out of their social media efforts.

Getting a message out in 140 characters is hard enough, but it’s also difficult for retailers to find a balance between offering deals and merchandise with original, fun, and shareable content. You don’t want to overload your followers’ Twitter feeds, but you want to interact with customers as much as possible, while also making sure your messages are fresh and timely.

These five jewelers are prime examples of how tweeting can help you stay connected to consumers and help your bottom line.
