Calling them the “blue jeans of accessories” and “an American classic for more than 50 years,” Marion Fasel spotlights ID bracelets in the February 2013 issue of InStyle. She comments: “The military style is trendy again, thanks to updated versions boasting such tweaks as double-wrap chains or textured links.”

While ID bracelets are back in vogue, the intriguing variation of identification necklaces provides another new twist on the theme.
The April issue of Vogue styles a sporty fashion-themed spread with each look accessorized with an identification necklace from Céline. The model above wears a Jil Sander sweater and Rag & Bone trousers and carries a satchel from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci.
“Punk Goes Polished” announces the April issue of Glamour, with a “lesson in how to wear downtown-cool stuff the new, pulled-together way.” Featured is a chunky brass ID necklace from Luv AJ. The senior accessories editor comments that she’d wear the necklace with a graphic tee. Other featured jewelry is a pair of earrings from Biko and a pair of rings from Alison Lou.
Interestingly, the April Glamour editorial suggests wearing the punk look with a “gold” watch: “Yes! It dresses up your downtown look instantly.” Pictured are wristwatches from Caravelle by Bulova, Seiko, Express, Citizen Eco-Drive, and Anne Klein. The small faces of these watches is a trend on which I’ll comment further in a future post.
A nickel plate ID necklace from Luv AJ is also featured in the April issue of InStyle as part of a sporty look. Also pictured is a rose gold plate watch with silicone band from Michele.
In the April issue, a contributing stylist for Lucky suggests toughening up floral pants with a chain necklace, sweatshirt, and studded sandals. Her identification necklace is from nOir Jewelry. The contributing editors pictured to the left and center each wear a ring from Kevia, identified as one of a set of eight. An additional ring from ManiaMania accompanies the look on the left.
With a ladylike vibe, the April issue of Elle accessorizes a Diane von Furstenberg dress and Boss coat with a gold-bar ID bracelet from Garland Collection, plus a gold link bracelet from Marco Bicego, an A.P.C. pendant necklace, three gold rings from Tiffany & Co., and a gold-plated dot ring from Melinda Maria. The earrings are described only as “vintage.” The model’s sunglasses are from Tom Ford and her bag from Mark Cross.
An enamel and gold plate ID bracelet is among the offerings from Trina Turk spotlighted in the May 2013 issue of People StyleWatch. Also featured is the designer’s gold-plated medallion necklace and gold-plated hinged snake cuff.
