Gary Roskin
Gary Roskin is a graduate gemologist and a Fellow of the Gemological Association of Great Britain. A former teacher at the Gemological Institute of America, Gary also understands retail jewelry from behind the counter-he grew up in his family's jewelry store in Indiana. His insights make him a popular draw in the magazine, and when speaking at industry conference programs. His expertise not only makes JCK the only industry magazine (other than GIA publications) to have a gemologist in residence, and he is frequently called upon by colleagues asking, "what's this?"
