Last Round of Jewels From Vegas

June 14, 2007

Here’s a final round of cool jewels from Vegas. The show ended more than a week ago, you say? I know, but we have been mega busy around here …

* UZCA. This jewelry firm was new to the JCK Show in Las Vegas. Their jewels are made in Italy, and they have U.S. headquarters in Miami, Fl. Owner and designer Maria Elana Uzcategui makes beautiful, hip, and wearable 18k gold and precious stone pieces. Check out these pieces from the Eritrea collection: a hammered hoop necklace with a wreath of citrine in the center, two sizes of tube-set brown topaz hoop earrings, and very cool satin-finished bangles and rings with oversize ametrine and bi-color quartz set over diamonds.

* Nihalchand Girharilal Javeri. This firm specializes in 18k gold and platinum estate and reproduction pieces, most with Indian flare (for example, gorgeous huge rose-cut center stones). Shown are some definite Red-Carpet stunners. PS, the company has a U.S. office in Hartsdale, N.Y., but that’s not listed on its web site. The phone is (888) 817-5928.

* Sequoia. Elegant 18k gold jewels from this firm feature inspriations from nature, like Redwood trees and sea shells. Yves Kamioner’s collections are always beautiful, and extremely easy to envision yourelf wearing. Here are some bold new looks–massive wood cuffs with mother of pearl, polished gold, and diamonds.
