Here we go again folks.

I’ll quickly brief everyone on the rules of live blogging:

1. Typos, there will be many, corrections will come later on.
2. Photos, there will be none. As the event is going on right now, I will spend the next few days scouring the internet for images and links, right now you’ll just have to take my word for it and/or watch along with me.
3. My opinions are mine alone, please don’t e-mail Hedda, Carrie or Tad if you disagree with my opinions as they do not reflect the feelings of JCK or Reed Business.
4. For another example of live blogging see my exhaustive/ing Tony’s Coverage.
5. Refresh freely and often.
6. Enjoy!

7pm
Let the pre-show begin!

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia Di Rossi looking stunning, though distracted. Ellen keeps fiddling with her digital video camera. She’s recording her experiences tonight and her footage will air on Tuesday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen is in a navy Gucci suit with a very feminine gold lanyard necklace.

Portia is sporting a great halter dress with a wrap around neck strap attaching to the top right of the dress. The strap is made to look like a snake, though I can’t quite tell if it is diamond or pearl encrusted or costume. She also has on pearl button earrings

Both wearing watches and wedding bands.

Mark Steines is in a standard suit and silver tie, blah, but what can you expect? No watch from what I can tell, whish is strange to me and his cufflinks haven’t made an appearance yet.

7:03pm
Over to Lara Spencer, who drops the B-Bomb.

Britney Spears may be making an appearance to apologize for her horror show of a performance on the VMAs. It’s a blogger’s dream come true, if it is true.

Lara is in a short, yellow, sleeveless tunic by Pamela Dennis with a beautiful diamond bracelet on her right hand (primed to be in every shot as this is her mic-holding hand), and very prominent drop diamond earrings.

Kate Walsh of Private Practice in a very well-tailored (also) Pamela Dennis red dress and vintage diamond earrings and a "redic" dome cocktail ring by Neil Lane. Also stacking two red enamel bracelets with a diamond bracelet also by Neil Lane.

7:05pm
Back to Mark with Dennis Leary and his wife Anne. Dennis and Mark are twins in their attire and Anne is wearing a very sweet polka-dotted number and diamond drop earrings, which are obscured by her hair.

Dennis made a comment about Mark having rinestones on his lapel, but I ca’t make anything out since he is constantly angled in a way the keeps me from seeing that side of his chest. I’ll keep an eye out for it though and let you all know what I see.

7:06pm
Over to Lara with America Ferrera of Ugly Betty in a blue Monique Lhuillier floor-length, strapless dress, with a high set belt which shows that Real Women (Indeed) Have Curves. Bare neck, but very long antique looking earrings. No rings, no bracelets.
