Ad Watch: Pearls on the Half Shell

Paging through the November 2008 issue of Elle magazine, I had to stop and admire this latest ad from Mikimoto, which makes a strand of golden South Sea pearls look as delicious as bonbons, as intriguing as caviar, and as exciting as the bubbles in a glass of champagne. Irresistible!

Nature itself provides the platter, and the natural beauty of the shell’s nacre adds to the exquisite effect. What a simple, inexpensive and elegant way to display gems from the sea.
