David Lamb Leaves De Beers

January 21, 2009

David Lamb, one of De Beers’ key marketing people, is leaving the company. Here is a statement from De Beers spokeswoman Lynette Gould …

I can confirm that David Lamb, Chief Strategic Officer, Forevermark, will be leaving De Beers at the end of this month. David’s association with De Beers dates back to 1996 when he was appointed Global Business Director at JWT heading the De Beers account. He ran our account for five years, helping to create some ‘big ideas’ – including the hugely successful “Past, Present, Future” three stone ring campaign.   Following his appointment as De Beers’ Director of Worldwide Marketing in 2006, he became Forevermark’s Chief Strategic Officer in 2007 to lead and manage Forevermark’s product strategy and creative design. With this now confidently in place for the next two or three years, it now seems a likely time for David to explore new challenges.
