More Diamond District Arrests to Come?

There has been a lot of chatter about last week’s arrest of a group of suspects, including some members of the jewelry industry, for allegedly conspiring to rob a Federal Express truck in the Diamond District.

I thought this tidbit, on the Jewelers Security Alliance’s web site, was interesting:

According to JSA sources the US Attorney can be expected to bring charges against additional suspects in connection with the investigation involving the arrest of Brian Geenwald of, Doppelt & Greenwald, last Friday in NYC. The JSA has learned that at least three of those arrested so far are members of the jewelry industry and more arrests are anticipated. “The wheels of justice may sometimes turn slowly but …”

You can read the indictment of the 12 suspects here (PDF). The suspects have pleaded "not guilty," and Greenwald’s lawyer told The Daily News: "He is totally innocent of these charges."
