Well, we may have to get used to this kind of announcement… Hearts on Fire laid off a number of employees last week; truly a sign of the times. CEO Glenn Rothman just sent me the following statement…
Hearts On Fire continued to grow its Team during the first 8 months of 2008 based on continued sales growth in the first 3 quarters of 2008. But the business changed suddenly on September 15th when Lehman Brothers failed. Based on the change in sales levels for the 4th quarter we were forced to re-size last week to early 2007 levels. We did what was needed to properly manage the Brand and look forward to restoring the magic of momentum as soon as the business environment allows.
