Random Show News Part I

I get really excited just a few days before we are about to fly out to Vegas. My husband and I should’ve left today but I’m always worried about the store—being new and all. Next year I promised myself we are going to go a day earlier, sit at the pool, play some 3-card poker, and eat like crazy before all the work starts. We fly out tomorrow late afternoon that way I can work at the store in the morning and take care of some last minute jobs.

Every year it’s definitely a pain in the butt getting ready for the show. All week I was pulling up reports regarding my best selling brands, top ten items in each category, items the store is lacking, and on and on and on. Today, I was home and had to get packed. I washed 4 loads of laundry and packed all our clothes. I think I took way more than last year but am too lazy to unpack the un-necessaries now. My hubby of course loved the fact that I packed his stuff too. If I didn’t he’d pack a bunch of shorts, flip flops, and maybe a few collared shirts. I’ve explained to him a bunch of times you can’t go dressed like that, and every year he puts up a little bit of a fuss. He’s not working at the store yet so the show isn’t so exciting for him. He’s an IT guy and I hope he comes on board starting next year so that some of the accounting and designing of the website can be taken off my shoulder.

Back to Vegas—I’m packed, as well as David, and Cheeto. Cheeto is staying at the Bed and Biscuit—a resort of sort for doggies. They have a pool and all and I’m sure he’ll be relaxing way more than we’ll be. We get in late Tuesday night and will probably be too pooped to do anything—check-in and call it a night. Wednesday morning starts our appointments at Couture. I’m hoping to get some pictures this time so I can show those who haven’t been…the mounds of money these designers spend decking out their showroom. It is amazing. We’ve only been attending Couture and Luxury for the past three years and it’s something I never could’ve imagined. I promise to try and get some pics. Talk to you all tomorrow.
