Wilkerson and Associates—Does that Mean Trouble?
I heard through the grapevine that Edward Mirell AKA Spectore Corporation was bought out buy Wilkerson and Associates. This could explain many of the problems I’ve been having with the company. I absolutely love Edward Mirell and we sell tons of their product—but this time I felt the employees of the company had no idea what they were doing. I don’t want to blame them because it might come from above—but I visited their booth at the show and the sales rep helping me gave me trays of cuff links to look through but did not know the prices of even one pair. When she turned around to ask help from other sales associate—they too did not know. I’ve been back from the show a couple of weeks and have received no email confirmation about what I ordered or anything.
I knew their was problem before I left for the show when I received a box of reorders for Father’s Day without a packaging list in the box. No prices—not even a list of what was in the box. Today my customer service/reorder rep has changed to my sales rep who use to help me at show. It’s just a mess. Product prices have increased and our store has been uninformed. What’s going on? Have any of you experienced the same from the company? Are you finding a new Titanium line and liquidating this one?

Can't you people read? The statement says they are using Wilkerosn
as independent reps and that there was no change in ownership.

This could prove to be interesting. with the wilkerson purchase i'm
curious to see how long before the spectore lines begin to
liquidate and at what price.

These comments sure are providing some comedy relief. Can't wait to
see the Chapter 11 filing next.

We are very concerned that the opening comment of this post is
based on “hearsay”. In an industry as small as ours,
and with two prestigious companies with over fifty years of
industry experience and reputations for performance and superior
customer service, we would hope that the moderators of this forum
would be more aggressive in finding out the facts. An
unsubstantiated and casual remark such as this has the potential to
damage long and hard earned reputations. Spectore has been
operating (and still is) under the same ownership for over 25 years
and has contributed a great deal to the industry. The facts are
that Spectore Corporation did enter into a sales and distribution
agreement with Wilkerson and Associates just prior to the JCK show
in Las Vegas. This agreement was proudly announced in an
advertisement appearing in the pre show issue of JCK magazine. It
was the culmination of months of research to find a company with a
sales force that could clearly, directly and concisely drive the
initiatives and help enhance the brand image of Edward Mirell.
Edward Mirell has established itself as the premier Nationally
Advertised Contemporary Metals brand in the United States. In order
for our authorized retailers to be able to get maximum benefit from
the Edward Mirell brand we felt it was important for them to have
access to a dedicated group of professional territory sales
representatives. Wilkerson and Associates provides this important
service with an extensive sales force of skilled and highly trained
industry experts. We are thrilled to have them as part of our
ongoing Edward Mirell Brand Initiative. Spectore will continue to
be on the leading edge of product design and new material
innovation that has set the standard for our Industry. Edward
