My First Day at Luxury/Premiere—Random Show News Part IV
Today was our first day at Luxury and Premiere. We started the day by getting our cute brown totes and
then entered the Delfino ballroom where the breakfast buffet was set-up. The scrambled eggs where
great, my bacon a little soggy, and a bagel toasted just the way I like it. It was wonderful to be able to sit
and eat breakfast—one that I didn’t have to make. When at home, I never want to give up even a few
minutes of sleep and always skip breakfast. I’m way too lazy in the morning to get up an hour early and
make breakfast for myself. While we ate there was a speaker from a Marketing/Consulting group. None
of us at the table were amused. The points the keynote speaker made would have been great for people
were just staring a business or have never had their own business. Most of what she said was for
beginners and the audience, of course, are mostly long-time business owners. Needless to say breakfast
was a good time to have a speaker like that—we were stuck and forced to listen if we wanted to eat
plus the tables that were set outside the Delfino Ballroom were no longer there like last year.
After breakfast we headed to the show floor—a 10:30am appointment we were running on time too
for the first time. Looked at a bridal line we are considering. After the appointment my husband and I
walked up and down every aisle looking for new products, styles, and trends, until the start of our next
appointment. Finally, I saw a few beautiful yellow gold right hand rings. Of course the vendors wouldn’t
let me take a picture but I am going to and have been searching on line but have yet to find the rings.
Anyways—they were a kind of cut out design in the center and the edges were line with white
diamonds—set in shared prongs. I absolutely loved the rings and am planning to go by their booth
during the JCK show sometime this week. In addition, I noticed a lot of green amethyst (aka praseolite),
the ribbon design for diamond engagement rings, and lots of color back in simple yellow gold settings. I
hope to get you all pictures soon.
Stay tuned for random news from JCK.
