Anyway, here's the news ....

Beneficiation talk from Polished Prices, Chaim, South Africa’s Financial Mail and myself.

Tiffany sells Little Switzerland to NXP at a loss.

De Beers to settle class action in October. Will they be here in November?

LID wants more time for reorganization.

Media Watch

-         Forbes cover story on Graff. (login with bugmenot.com) More on Graff here.

-         The Wall Street Journal on overseas jewelers selling engagement rings, online diamond sales and rough diamonds in jewelry (reprinted here)

-         CBS/Christian Science Monitor has decent conflict diamond article with silly sub-head.

-         NPR’s Marketplace on traded in engagement rings.

No strike at De Beers South African mines.

Barclays-ABN AMRO deal hits snag.

Leviev buys back shares in his company.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the diamond industry, Miss Paris Hilton! Oh happy day …
