Diablo Cody Rocks Loree Rodkin at the Oscars

Diablo Cody. I mean what's not to love?
Cody is wearing a Christian Dior dress and Loree Rodkin jewelry, but more importantly she's really showing you who she is. Cody owns her look (period).
I love everything about her look, especially that she left her tattoo exposed (you can't see it in the photos above so you'll just have to trust me on this one). And how great that she wasn't afraid to pile on the bracelets?
The earring design is awesome! Kudos to Rodkin on the skull and cross bones floating in a kind of leaf-shaped drop, but the scale of them is just a bit heavy to me.
Now, I really didn't want to bring this up, because I have heard about enough about Cody being an exotic dancer (a review of Juno in the NYTimes was even titled Off the Stripper Pole and Into the Movies), but I just had to put this out there ...
There have been quite a few rumors, I repeat, rumors about how Cody was going to wear a $1 million pair of heels by Stuart Weitzman in response to a crack that a journalist made about how she went from clear heels to silver screen overnight or whatever, but then for some reason she backed out and didnt' wear them. It has been kind of a really strange scandal, but seriously, I think that would've been a brilliant move. Brilliant!
Ok, enough gossip. Sorry I just had to get that out.
Not to sound too much like Paula Abdul, but I really applaud Cody for staying true to who she is.
Think about it, what could be worse than being on such a global stage for the first time, winning, and looking back at the tape and hating who you presented yourself as? Not what (or who) you're wearing, but actually what you're showing people you're all about. Personally, I think that that's what style comes down to.
Ok I'll step down from my soapbox, anyone else have any thoughts?
