Padlocks, keyholes, and keys are showing up at every turn. The looks vary from dainty, elongated Victorian versions to rock ’n’ roll chic to hammered steel ones with heft. Here are some that I’m particularly keyed into.

• Thea Grant has several layered offerings paired with charms in the Williamsburg (#s 9, 15, 18, 28) and Navy Yard (# 9) collections
• Annie Costello Brown’s key pendant wrapped in black has hard-core appeal
• Jennifer Fisher’s Evan and Tommy pendants are paired with engravable charms

• For men, Werkstat:München’s key rings are coupled with a skull and a forged ring (part 2 of collection 2006)
