Trend Spotting: Tusks + Horns
November 13, 2006

This season, it’s horns aplenty. Still reeling from the splendor of Faraone Mennella R.F.M.A.S.’s Italian horn necklace (worn for protection), but unable to fund the purchase, I’m happy to see a cornucopia of new horns and tusks. Here are some that I’d love to get my claws on.

Recently featured in the New York Times, AHJewelry pairs fun black and white versions with charms.

Shaun Leane, winner of the U.K. Jewellery Awards 2006, offers fabulous treats in his Hook My Heart, Silver, Coral and Gold collection, Tribal Deco, and Horn collections.

Mizuki’s rose gold version is paired with diamond and tourmaline pebbles, at Fragments.

Pomellato’s Victoria collection (in the new 2006 offerings) has a great matte pink gold and jet necklace.

Kenneth Jay Lane’s edition goes almost full circle, in faux tortoise with a cabochon encrusted top, at Bloomingdale's.

Bing Bang’s pendants make me want to shop the Men’s line (page 6 of the Spring/Summer ’07 collection).

Me&Ro’s Om and Love and Sanskrit necklaces tap into the spiritual, available at Barneys.

Sydney Evans’s horn pendants come in a variety of gems, but I like the lapis.

Roberto Cavalli’s Green and Black Strass horn pendants, at eLuxury, capture the same essence as his clothes.
