Penélope Cruz, I Love You, You're Perfect ...

I think that as separate items I love the dress, the jewelry, and the
Roger Vivier clutch. Together, not so much.
Let's start with the dress ...
It is
Chanel Couture by
Karl Lagerfeld and I think it is stunning. The front drape is iffy and kind of looks like
bunting to me, but I am willing to look beyond that because the navy is so rich and I love the
feathers. Also, the shading effect achieved by the use of different fabrics is genius!
On to the jewelry and clutch ...

Cruz is wearing ruby and diamond drop earrings, a fancy shaped diamond bracelet, and a marquise-cut diamond ring, all by
Chopard. The ring and the bracelet I think go well with the dress actually.
And I like the clutch ...
So I guess my only real issue is the earrings. They seem a bit out of place and loud to me.
I'm not sure, I think I would have liked to have seen something closer to the ear on Cruz. They just don't look like earrings that belong on the red carpet to me. For lack of a better phrase, I will steal one from
Michael Kors, "they just don't look expensive."
