Nick Cannon Proposes to Mariah Carey With Jacob & Co. Ring

JCKstyle has the skinny on the diamond engagement ring that Nick Cannon gave to Mariah Carey, his sweetie of just a month or two, according to media reports.

You might recall that Cannon and his other fiancé, Selita Ebanks, just broke up last fall. In fact, May 8 is the one-year anniversary of this former couple’s official engagement. Cannon gave Ebanks a 12 ct. t.w. colorless diamond and platinum ring. But, alas, that relationship was not meant to be, and they quickly called it quits.

 

Just a year ago, Cannon became engaged to skinny Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks. That love didn't last long.


Ebanks' ring was also huge, but colorless.

Speedier still was the courtship between Carey and Cannon. The songstress wasted no time in winning the Drumline actor’s heart. Was it her golden pipes, her pretty smile, impressive career, or plain old chemistry? While the public may never know, we do have confirmation that the lady scored a major DER! 

The bling--I mean ring! It's got more than 17 cts. t.w. diamonds. 
 
The arguable cougar is sporting a 17 cts. t.w. diamond and platinum ring worth $2.5 million. The piece was designed just for Carey, and features a fancy light pink 10 ct. square emerald-cut center diamond surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, and two half-moon-cut stones.

How long will these lovers last? I hope forever, as marriage implies, but Hollywood stars seemed to have rewritten this rule to suit their swiftly changing preferences.
