Shake Hands With Robb Report
November 9, 2007
Partnerships have been big this year. In August Neiman Marcus’ collaborated with specialty brands to commemorate their 100th anniversary, and in July Honora and Tourneau’s alliance with Fage stuck with us. Now Robb Report, “the global luxury source,” has partnered with several luxury brands to “create a collection of limited quantity bespoke products and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.” RR speaks of its readership as a “private club,” and I think what appeals here, just as Neiman’s approach, is the opportunity to purchase something no one, or almost no one, else has, vetted by a trustworthy source. Purchase is on a first-come, first-served basis via an irrevocable deposit (or “offer”). Four of the 17 items hail from the jewelry and watch world, but beware, they’re not for the faint of wallet:

Part of the Zadora Timepieces collection, via RobbReport.com
Zadora Timepieces: The Rain Forest Collection and Rendezvous package contains four watches, an eco-adventure in Costa Rica, and a $30,000 donation of the purchaser’s choice
Editions: 1
$950,000

Part of the Beaudry bespoke collection, via RobbReport.com
Beaudry: The Bespoke Collection of three one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces
Editions: 1 set
$1,123,000

The Audemars Piguet set, via RobbReport.com
Audemars Piguet: A trio of Titanium Minute Repeater Skeleton watches
Editions: 1
$1,371,000

Corum's tourbillons, via RobbReport.com
Corum: The Two-Watch Tourbillion Set

$550,000
Curious what the others are?
Four involve libations:
Four will send you on trips of a lifetime:
Two are for the road:
And three are for the finer points of life:
Visit the Robb Report Marketplace to make ’em an offer, or just drool.
