I Feel Priti

I was out enjoying the wonderful weather this past holiday weekend, exploring the far-reaches of my zip code when I happened across Priti Organic Spa.

Priti, which is Sanskrit for “peace, love, and satisfaction,” exclusively uses non-toxic, cruelty-free, DBP-free, formaldehyde-free, tuolene-free nail polish (pictured below) and removers. Good news all around for enviromentalists, PeTA members, and expectant mothers. 

The needs of expectant mothers were actually the catalyst for the creation of Priti. Kim D'Amato, former model, surfer, mother, daughter-in-law of former Senator Alphonse D'Amato (R-NY), and owner of Priti, had trouble finding a space that was safe for her and her child during her own pregnancy. After doing her own research on the beauty product market decided to jump into the business of running her own eco/pregnancy-friendly spa. The result is a synthesis of the spa's namsake "peace, love and satisfaction."

It is recommend that you schedule an appointment well in advance, but the staff of Priti also make house calls. If you so choose they are also available for parties where Priti can make arrangements to serve organic snacks and drinks for you and your guests.
