Window Shopping: Capri
September 13, 2007

My travel companions and I arrived in Capri in mid-afternoon, but we were quite jet-lagged, so after a bit of a nap we woke up and started walking around the piazzetta. Unfortunately, all of the shops had closed and Lori "missed out on a whole day of shopping."

The next day was Lori's birthday (the main reason for the trip) and when she came across the bracelet stand below ...

... and fell in love with these ...

... I couldn't help but get them all for her as a gift.

She thought that getting her three was a bit over the top, but I think I made out pretty good on the deal, especially since at the jewelry store below (La Fiorente)...

... Lori was more interested in pieces a bit outside of my budget.

Honestly, any window display that involves petrified crustasceans is a pass in my book, but some of the pieces were quite beautiful.

These Italians horns actually served as great gifts when I got back. Everyone that I gave one to loved them.

Wow, Lord of the Rings much?

Lori brought along this huge patent leather Chanel bag (which you may recognize from the Chanel Fall 2006 Ready to Wear Collection) along simply to have an extra bag to fill with what she bought on this trip. As you can see, there wasn't much room left at then od the trip. Now, that's travelling!
