New Moissanite Cut Sold at Helzberg

Charles & Colvard, Ltd., the sole global distributor of moissanite jewels, has developed a new version of its popular lab-created gemstone shape the round brilliant cut, named the “Imperial Moissanite.” The new cut is now being sold exclusively at Helzberg Diamonds stores.

The Imperial Moissanite cut collection launched at Helzberg Diamonds 269 locations nationwide in late October. The collection includes rings, necklaces, and earrings that retail from approximately $449.99 to $4,599. 

The Imperial Moissanite has 89 facets, which is 32 more than the standard round brilliant cut. These extra facets allow for more light reflection to create an exceptionally high degree of scintillating brilliance, the Morrisville, N.C.-based company said. 

The cut was designed by the Charles & Colvard team exclusively for Helzberg Diamonds in order to create a unique moissanite gemstone shape, which customers were requesting.

“There is an art and a science to developing each moissanite jewel, so that the design always enhances moissanite’s exceptional visual and physical properties," said Bob Thomas, CEO of Charles & Colvard, Ltd. "The Imperial Moissanite cut has been precisely calibrated and hand cut by master technicians to create maximum brilliance and to spark the ultimate fire.”
