Fouth ICA Poster Competition Announced

The International Colored Gemstone Association is accepting entries in the Fourth ICA International Poster Competition, with winners to be announced at the next ICA Congress, slated for April 28 to May 7, 2007, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Participation in the competition, dedicated to the promotion of colored gemstones, has grown following previous competitions held in Sydney, Australia (2001); Jaipur, India (2003); and Bangkok, Thailand (2005).

Through the competition, ICA encourages its members, as well as members of the colored-gemstone community at large, art students, and graphic designers, to find new and creative ideas to promote the usage, appreciation, and trade of colored gemstones.

All entries will be exhibited during the ICA Congress in Dubai, and will be used by the association in its publications to promote colored gemstones worldwide. Each designer may submit up to three different poster designs. The judging committee will be composed of ICA officials and members of the public. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners at the Congress's gala dinner.

Poster entries must be 35 × 50 cm (12 × 20 inches), colorful, and should carry the ICA logo and name in full. A written slogan can be added. All written information should be in English; however, ICA encourages designers to add the slogan in their native language as well. Participants must submit a color printout of the poster, along with the file on disk in one of the following formats: PDF, JPEG, EPS, or TIF. The file should not be smaller than 36 MB and the digital resolution must be a minimum of 300 dpi.
