OROAREZZO CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARYOroArezzo, a trade fair in the heart of the gold-producing region of Arezzo, Italy, marks its 20th anniversary this year. Begun as a tiny regional show, it now includes 400 exhibitors of gold, silver, and gemstone jewelry. The 20th-anniversary fair will be held March 20-23.
The exhibit area recently was enlarged by 200 square meters to include exhibitors from other regions of Italy.
A highlight of OroArezzo is the Premiere Design competition, open to exhibiting firms. The fair also will feature the Oro d?Autore exhibition, a 100-piece collection of one-of-a-kind jewelry designed by internationally renowned architects, sculptors, and painters and fabricated by local Aretini manufacturers.

AMBER TRADE FAIR SLATED IN POLANDAmberif ?99, the major jewelry show in Poland and the only international event focused on amber, will take place March 25-28 at the Trade Fair Centre in Gdansk.
In addition to amber, exhibitors will be displaying diamonds, gemstones, pearls, gold jewelry, silver jewelry and silverware, watches, and machines and services for the jewelry industry. Also featured will be a gala fashion jewelry show, social events, a goldsmith design contest, and a seminar on economic and technical topics conducted by the Amber Association and Museum of the Polish Academy of Science.

HONG KONG SHOW MARKS 16TH YEARThe 16th edition of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will take place March 15-18. On the program are seminars by the World Gold Council March 15, the Gemological Institute of America March 16, and the Diamond High Council March 17. Concurrently with the show, the Paspaley Pearl Auction and the Robert Wan Tahiti Perles Auction will take place March 14-19.
Winners of the International South Sea Pearl Jewellery Design Competition will be on display at the show. In addition, new this year will be a showcase for exhibitors to display selected pieces at the entrance of each exhibition hall.
