Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co., Neenah, Wis., has promoted Kelly Kinas, CPA, to the position of corporate controller and treasurer. Kinas joined Jewelers Mutual in September 2000 as the accounting manager. Prior to that, Kinas was a senior auditor at the Milwaukee-based branch of Ernst & Young and an accounting/reinsurance analyst at Legion Insurance, also in Milwaukee. Kinas brings more than nine years of experience in accounting to his new position.

Tim Allen has joinedSteven Bell Associates Inc. as a sales associate. He will cover the Michigan, Ohio, and western Pennsylvania area. Steven Bell Associates represents Candela Jewelry and Andrea Candela for the United States.

Allan W. (Sandy) Ballou has been elected president of B.A. Ballou & Co. Inc., East Providence, R.I. Ballou represents the fifth generation of the Ballou family to manage the 137-year-old firm.

Sue Garvey has joined Christian Dior Watches, a division of LVMH Watch & Jewelry, as marketing director, responsible for all marketing initiatives for the Christian Dior brand. Garvey formerly worked for Piaget, where she served as director of communications.

Scott Schwartz, a 16-year employee of Cas-Ker, has been promoted to manager of the company’s watch material department. He will be responsible for the overall operation of the department and will oversee 15 employees.

Jewelry Television has announced that Charles A. Wagner IIIhas been named vice chairman. Wagner currently serves as general counsel for Jewelry Television and will continue in that position.
