Le Vian Design Contest

At its annual fashion show in Las Vegas, Le Vian will unveil the winners of its first Le Vian for Children design contest, which benefits the Jewelers For Children charity.
The winning designs, chosen in New York in March, have been interpreted by Le Vian and will be fabricated to be shown for the first time at the company's Red Carpet Revue during The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2005.
The contest was broken down into five categories. Entrants were asked to:
- Predict the fine-jewelry trend for 2006. The winner is Amanda Visco Genovino from Livingston, N.J., Fashion Institute of Technology; first runner-up is Megan Daisey, New York, Fashion Institute of Technology.
- Design an item that will bring out the spirit of America. The winner is Mary Tanana, St. Petersburg, Fla.; first runner-up is Susan Heard, Leucadia, Calif., Gemological Institute of America.
- Interpret the JFC symbol in a piece of jewelry that could be sold to benefit the charity. The winner is Amanda Visco Genovino from Livingston, N.J., Fashion Institute of Technology; first runner-up is Carrie Hartley, Bronx, N.Y., Fashion Institute of Technology.
- Predict the trend in earrings worn by celebrities on the red carpet. The winner is Mary Tanana, St. Petersburg, Fla.; first runner-up is Sheena Farmer, New York, Fashion Institute of Technology.
- Create an engagement ring, wedding band, or a matching bridal set. The winner is Mary Tanana, St. Petersburg, Fla.; first runner-up is Eun-Young Lee, Busan, South Korea, Gemological Institute of America.
