IJDG Selects New Members. The International Jewelry Design Guild has named five new members to its group of independent jewelry designers. Stacy Blackshaw, associate executive director of the Guild, announced the induction of Jewelbutton, Tagliamonte Vicenza, Dana & David, Spoleto Gioielli, and Yael Sonia.

World Gold Council Pumps Up Glam Factor. Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys will be featured in the World Gold Council's four-page consumer advertising campaign entitled Gold Expressions, while Jewel will perform for U.S. retailers at the June 2 launch event of Gold Expressions: The Language of Italian Design in Las Vegas.

AJDC Names New Design Winner. Patricia Madeja, the American Jewelry Design Council's New Talent winner for 2005, will be awarded a booth in the New Designer area of the JA New York show and an original sculpted trophy by an AJDC member, launching her entrée into the designer jewelry market. Madeja holds a B.F.A. degree from the Pratt Institute, N.Y., and has experience in jewelry design and education.
