Hopkins at Conclave

Staff -- JCK-Jewelers Circular Keystone, 3/1/2005

Tom Hopkins, author of How to Sell Anything and Selling for Dummies, will provide attendees at the American Gem Society's Conclave Hollywood with sales training tailored to fine jewelers.

Leading jewelry designers, manufacturers, retailers, and gemological educators will gather April 13 through April 16 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel to take advantage of a full day of sales training with best-selling author Tom Hopkins included in price of Conclave registration.

Conclave Hollywood education sessions will include AGS Cut Grade, gemology, business/profitability, marketing, appraisals, bench, family-business and AGS core values. This year's theme "The Brightest Stars in Hollywood" will feature a forum for technological advancement in the jewelry industry.

Speakers and presenters will include: Michael Fortino, a strategist for change, presenting the Opening Session Keynote titled X-Treme Jeweler: The Art of Responsible Risk Taking, Creativity and Innovation, and Moving Your Jewelry Business to the Next Level of Success, as well as several other workshops; Patrick Lencioni, author of four books, including his latest The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, will provide a keynote address that will present team-building tools for immediate implementation; Jim Sterne will present workshops on a variety of Web marketing and design topics; Rick McCutcheon, facilitator and writer regarding strategic sales development will present educational sessions on customer relationships for the retailers and suppliers; and Ron Rosenberg, an award-winning expert on quality and customer service, will focus on building business around relationships.

The American Gem Society was founded in 1934 by Robert M. Shipley.
