Golconda Sates Moscow's Growing Hunger for Fashion

By Carrie Soucy, Senior Editor -- JCK-Jewelers Circular Keystone, 1/1/2005

Several prominent jewelry brands are heading to Moscow as part of a new line of boutiques by the Russian masterminds who developed the Golconda boutiques. John Hardy, Orlandini, and Di Modolo will be among the first brands introduced through the new jewelry boutiques focused exclusively on gold and silver jewelry.

Russian socialites and trendsetters Tatyana Scherbakova and Inga Polishkis first opened Golconda's doors in 2002, catering to Russia's celebrities and ever-growing luxury class.

The new boutique, 1675, will carry only silver and gold jewelry, as its name indicates: 1675 is the sum of the standards of precious metals for gold and silver—925 plus 750. The store was expected to open around the holiday season.
