CDG Announces New Board, Award Winners

During its annual membership meeting in Las Vegas at The JCK Show in June, the Contemporary Design Group installed a new executive board.
Aaron Furlong of Aaron Henry Designs succeeds Stuart J. Adelman of Artelle Designs as president, and Glen J. Englebrecht of GJ Designs, is the new vice president. Both Furlong and Englebrecht will serve for two years. Other new executive board members include Etienne Perret, treasurer, and Pam Ford, chair of the Contemporary Design Group High Achievement Awards.
The High Achievement Awards, which were presented in June at the Annual Designers Gala during The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas, are as follows:
Designer of the Year, Alex Sepkus; Best Designer Supplier, Rio Grande; Best Designer Retailer, Aronstam; Best Designer Advocate, Ettagale Blauer; Hall of Fame Award, Michael Good.
The Contemporary Design Group also honored the late Kyriakos Somos, a longtime member of the association, with the first Michael Lauer Memorial Award. This award is named for the late Michael Lauer, who created the High Achievement Awards. The awards were first presented in 1996.
