JSA Elects Chairman

Walter Fischer, president and CEO of Rolex Watch (USA), has been elected chairman of the board of Jewelers' Security Alliance (JSA) for a two-year term. Fischer, a member of JSA's board for several years, has supported JSA in lobbying for more FBI and law enforcement assistance for the jewelry industry.
The announcement of Fischer's election was made during JSA's annual luncheon on Jan. 10, during which the sixth annual James B. White Law Enforcement Award was presented to two FBI employees assigned to the Jewelry and Gem Program. V.O. Little, a supervisory special agent, and Trimetria Singleton, an intelligence operations specialist, were cited by JSA president John Kennedy for being "of enormous help to the JSA and to the jewelry industry by helping to build a larger and stronger network of FBI and local police personnel who were interested in, and knowledgeable about, jewelry crime."
Fischer announced that Sue Gove, COO of Zale, had been elected to the JSA board, and outgoing chairman Alan Kleinberg presented a plaque to outgoing JSA director Mary Forte, CEO of Zale, for her six years of service as a JSA director.
