LJ INTERNATIONAL SIGNS ON LORENZO DEALERS

LJ International has announced that more than 60 independent jewelry retailers in the United States have signed on to become authorized dealers of the company's Lorenzo-branded jewelry. Authorized dealers are required to make minimum purchases, dedicate showcase space exclusively to the Lorenzo line, and prominently display Lorenzo signage and marketing material. Initial styles consist of a designer line of sterling silver jewelry with 18k accents, decorated with gemstones that are cut and manufactured by LJ International. Chairman and CEO Yu Chuan Yih says the company expects to add at least 200 dealers by the end of 2000, and even more during 2001.
