Charles & Colvard Donates moissanite to GIA

Staff -- JCK-Jewelers Circular Keystone, 8/1/2003

Charles & Colvard Ltd. recently donated synthetic moissanite valued at $40,000 to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The more than 1,200 pieces—in a variety of shapes and sizes—represent the largest donation to date of this material to GIA. The moissanite will be used to support GIA gemology students in their studies, as well as helping GIA jewelry manufacturing students to become skilled in setting the material.
