Abraham Weighing Next Step After Lawsuit Dismissal

Former Diamond Dealers Club vice president David Abraham said he is weighing "his next step" after his request to invalidate a 2008 DDC bylaws change was dismissed by a New York State Supreme Court judge last week.

In a letter to fellow DDC members, Abraham said the judge held "I was correct in my understanding that the By-Laws provide for automatic suspension of those not paying their dues and that "suspension" means that those who are suspended may not vote. He also ruled that those whose dues were waived lost their voting rights - just as I argued in my Petition."

Abraham further complained that "Justice Stallman never addressed any of the multiple irregularities and instances of wrongdoing that contravened the DDC By-Laws. He only focused on his inability to enforce the plain meaning of our rules and By-Laws under the controlling laws of New York State."

The Club also issued a response to the ruling, which can be seen here.
