Ivanka Trump welcomed style-makers including Andre Leon Talley, Wendi Murdoch, Nigel Barker, Patricia Field and Robert Verdi, in addition to her family, friends and jewelry industry leaders to officially launch her new 2010 Fine Jewelry Collection and celebrate new retail partnership with top US and International retailers who will soon start selling Ivanka's designs in their boutiques.
The event took place in the 6,000 sq. foot Penthouse of Trump Park Avenue and was the selected occasion to announce Ivanka's involvement in the United Nations Foundation's "Girl Up" campaign, a new initiative to improve the lives of adolescent girls in developing countries. "Girl Up" provides an opportunity for U.S. girls, as well as their families and friends, to help girls lead healthier, safer lives by creating life-changing opportunities -like school, a doctor's visit, even a safe walk home - possible.
The new jewelry collection reinforces the brand's earlier focus on the heirloom-chic style. Approximately 65 new styles will complement the existing assortment of approximately 100 pieces in platinum, 18K white, yellow and rose gold, featuring diamonds, onyx, black spinel, agate, pearls and rock crystals. Among the new pieces are more than 20 new styles with retail prices ranging from $550 to $2,500. Equal emphasis was given to strengthening the offerings between $3,000 and $8,000, addressing the price points most commonly associated with the shopping preferences of the independent, self-purchasing woman of today.
