New Exhibits on Display at GIA Museum

Two exhibits are now on display at the Gemological Institute of America Museum located in Carlsbad, CA.

The renewal of “Facets of GIA” will feature more than 130 pieces rotating on a regular basis, most notably a ruby and diamond necklace containing 39 natural, unheated Burmese rubies set with 302 diamonds.

“Little & Large” is part of a traveling exhibit showcasing seven local San Diego artists in cooperation with the San Diego Visual Arts Network. More than 100 artists will display a small piece of jewelry and a large sculpture at more than 40 venues throughout the county.

The Little & Large exhibit at the Institute is currently open and runs through December. The Facets of GIA exhibit will be on display until May 2010.
