Revere Holds Eighth Masters Symposium

Design for Production, 18k Granulation, Fold Forming, Romantic Connections, and Jewelry History are five of the subjects offered during the Revere Academy's 2005 Masters Symposium to be held from April 4th through April 24th. The Academy will host eight master craftspeople from across the country to lead a total of 11 workshops, two and five days in their specialized areas. Classes are offered at all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced.

This year Robert Lee Morris, a leading force in fashion and jewelry for three decades, will share his unique process for creating award-winning designs in Designing for Production. Kent Raible, a German-trained master goldsmith of international prominence, will demonstrate the process he has developed for 18k granulation. Charles Lewton-Brain will come from Canada to share the techniques he has developed during his many years as a master goldsmith, educator, and author in his classes, Fold Forming and Bench Tricks. Douglas Zaruba will demonstrate how to make jewelry that is both beautiful and functional in Romantic Connections and Romantic Surfaces. Christie Romero, a jewelry historian, author and director of the Center for Jewelry Studies will share her expertise in the first class ever to be offered at Revere in Jewelry History.
