De Beers Diamond Jewellers Names U.S. CEO

Hamida Belkadi has been named chief executive officer of De Beers Diamond Jewellers U.S., effective immediately.
Belkadi joined De Beers in March 2005 and has been instrumental in the establishment of De Beers Diamond Jewellers in the U.S. She headed the U.S. operations since July, 1, 2007, as chief operating officer, where she oversaw growth of the brand and doubled the number of De Beers stores in the U.S. from five to ten.
Prior to joining De Beers Diamond Jewellers, Belkadi held various senior positions during an 18-year tenure with Cartier.
De Beers Diamond Jewellers Ltd. is an independently managed, 50/50 joint venture between the De Beers Group and LVMH.
