Leon Hall to give keynote at the JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2003

Leon Hall, star of the popular program “Fashion Emergency” on E! Channel’s The Style Network, will present the keynote address at the JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2003, on Friday, May 30 from 8:30—9:45 a.m. at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. His presentation, titled “Cultivating Consumer Desire and Brand Cachet,” is expected to be both educational and entertaining as he breaks down the consumer purchasing phenomena and focuses on the indefinable “want-it, need-it, got-to-have-it” factor. Admission is open to all show attendees.

As the creator of The Trend Show, a well-respected editorial fashion program, Hall has been instrumental in promoting some of the hottest fashion trends and brands of recent times. Along with celebrities Joan and Melissa Rivers, he co-hosts fashion reviews of the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Grammy Awards, on E! Entertainment Television.

This audience really innovates in and understands the luxury market, and that in turn impacts the trends we all partake in, how we shop, where we shop and how much we spend. The breakdown of consumer purchasing patterns and trends is extremely important for any innovator to fully understand when trying to be a leader in such a competitive market.”

Fran Pennella, marketing director for The JCK Shows, adds, “In keeping with the many exciting enhancements at The JCK Show – Las Vegas 2003, we wanted this year’s keynote presenter to be not only relevant and timely, but also dynamic and world-renowned. We are very excited to host such a knowledgeable speaker as Mr. Hall who brings a wealth of experience and a heightened level of expertise to the table.”

In a related announcement, Luxury by JCK announces that the theme of the 2003 event will be “Luxury Lifestyle.” Sarin Bachmann, industry vice president of Luxury by JCK, says a series of improvements are planned. “As we conducted our most recent review of Luxury by JCK, we objectively analyzed all aspects of the event. We measured each element with a critical eye to ensure that we were meeting the needs of our exhibitors, fulfilling the requirements of our invited retailers, developing strategic relationships for all our participants, and providing a productive business-to-business networking opportunity. This year and going forward, we intend to build upon the fine reputation of the event and take it to the next level by focusing on ‘quality vs. quantity’ of exhibiting manufacturers and attending buyers. We are fiercely committed to being the most anticipated event in the high-end jewelry market.”

Beginning with the newly designed invitations sent to selected upscale retailers, Bachmann says, “Our goal is to create the feeling of luxury from the very first element, and to build upon the excitement generated from it. First impressions are lasting ones, and the retail invitation sets the tone for the improvements and attractions during the upcoming event.”

The scheduled educational program is also being upgraded. New conference topics slated for this year include “Emerging Trends And Opportunities In The Luxury Marketplace,” “How To Effectively Cross-Promote Your Luxury Brand To Increase Visibility And Drive Sales,” and “How To Successfully Target Market and Attract the Luxury Consumer.” Speakers will be leading luxury market authorities who will share their insights and expertise.

The JCK Shows in Las Vegas and Orlando, Luxury by JCK, and the new Luxury Swiss Watch Gallery events are designed to serve the worldwide jewelry industry by offering the most comprehensive and complete buying and selling opportunities on a business-to-business basis, and by offering invaluable information on subjects that impact not only the jewelry industry but its consumers as well.
