Johari Elected New IDCA President

Basant Johari of New York's Dow Gems recently was elected president of the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association. He takes the reins from Amal Jhaveri of Sugem, who remains on the group's board.
Johari vowed to raise the group's profile and to brainstorm ways to improve members' businesses.
Other new IDCA officials: Ashok Sancheti was elected vice president; Sushil Goyal, secretary; Dr. Ashok Surana, joint secretary, and Shekhar Mehta, treasurer.
IDCA, established in 1984, is a nonprofit organization of more than 250 member firms.
