Gary Long Receives CJA's Westover Award

Gary J. Long, founder and owner of Gary J. Long Jewelers in Stockton, Calif., has been chosen to receive the California Jewelers Association's Robert B. Westover Distinguished Service Award. He will be honored during the West Coast Jewelry Show, slated for August 27 at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
The award is given for an individual's cumulative contributions to the jewelry industry. Long has served not only as president of CJA but also as chairman of the Spring Pacific Jewelry Show for three years. Long was also instrumental in developing the concept of the new West Coast Jewelry Show.
Long has operated his store for more than 20 years and has been in the jewelry industry since 1970. He has served on the board of directors of the American Gem Society, is an AGS Registered Jeweler, and has been a member of the Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California.
