ASA Adopts PR Plan
Staff -- JCK Online, 5/1/2003 2:00:00 AM
The board of governors of the American Society of Appraisers has adopted a new public relations plan designed to raise the awareness of key audiences and the public to the benefits of hiring an ASA-designated appraiser. The board has hired Potomac Communications Group Inc. to implement the plan through at least the end of 2003. The plan is part of an ongoing campaign that includes a new e-letter, online membership services, and increased opportunity for continuing education.
Initially, the plan calls for ASA to develop the infrastructure necessary to support a proactive public relations campaign, including written materials, online resources, and training; launch a systematic media relations and speaker placement campaign; and provide ASA's disciplines and chapters with tools and assistance to support the society's national effort within their respective disciplines and at the local and regional levels.
