Silly Rabbit, Charms Are for Grown-ups!

By Carrie Soucy, Senior Editor -- JCK Online, 3/1/2004 2:00:00 AM

A collaboration between food giant General Mills and Michigan-based jewelry manufacturer Casa D'Oro is bringing some all-time favorite television characters from the breakfast table to the jewelry store.

Among the morning-meal icons that will be available are the Trix Rabbit, Sonny the Cuckoo Bird, Lucky the Leprechaun, Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Frankenberry. Other characters being produced as charms under this agreement are the ever-giggly Pillsbury Doughboy and Ho-Ho-Ho Green Giant.

Crafted in stainless steel and 18k gold, this new line of licensed charms is a whimsical celebration of characters that younger Baby Boomers and Generations X and Y have grown up with.

The "charms" will be not be of the traditional design, but rather will attach to a stretchable modular bracelet. Each charm will retail for $20 to $28.
