David Langhammer, founder and president of Quality Gold in Fairfield, Ohio, died on March 18. He was 65.

Langhammer started Quality Gold in 1979 as a one-man operation, traveling from store to store. The company eventually outgrew its regional focus and expanded into a 118,000-square-foot facility that distributes millions of pieces of fine jewelry each year. Langhammer's sons, Michael and Jason, joined the company and ran daily operations.

Langhammer is survived by his wife, Linda; children Michael, Jason, Scott, Jessica, and Bryan; daughters-in-law Michelle, Kristine, and Debbie; son-in-law Chad; grandchildren Ben, Emma, Justin, Kaden, Morgan, Zachary, Bradley, Olivia, and Emily; and brother Harold.

The family has asked that friends make a donation to PanCAN, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, in lieu of flowers. By including David's name on donations the family will be notified of friends' generosity. PanCAN, 2221 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 131, El Segundo, CA 90245; (877) 272-6226, www.pancan.org/Donate.
