Gesswein has announced the retirement of Daniel R. DaCosta, vice president of sales, after 35 years of service. DaCosta started his career with Gesswein as a salesman covering New England. He rose through the ranks to become the company's first sales manager and then vice president of sales, a position he held for the last 20 years.
During his tenure, DaCosta doubled the sales force, helping to propel Gesswein to major-player status in the jewelry manufacturing industry, and under his guidance the company's trade show presence grew to the largest in the industry. Over the years, DaCosta also served on a number of committees within the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) organization.
