24 Karat Club's Annual Dinner Dance will support New York's disaster relief efforts

Staff -- JCK Online, 9/19/2001 3:21:00 PM

The Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California's Annual Fall Dinner Dance is scheduled for Saturday October 13, at the Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows.

For the past 3 years, this gala event raised money to support the City of Hope, an outstanding medical research center and hospital. But due to the unprecedented attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, the 24 Karat Club contacted the City of Hope, which graciously offered to step aside so that all funds generated from this event could be sent to the following three charities:

* The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund/
* Salvation Army Relief Fund
* New York Police Department/Fire Widows and Orphans Fund

The 24 Karat Club is urging all those in the jewelry industry to make a generous contribution by reviewing inventory and selecting any items they have for the raffle or to run an ad in the event Tribute Book. All proceeds from the raffle and tribute book (less production costs) will be sent to these charities. Donors may specify a specific charity, if they wish.

All raffle items and advertising requests should go to the Club's fundraising and marketing chairman, West Bryson at:

West Bryson & Associates
1100 Via Callejon, Suite C
San Clemente, CA 92673

The Club is extending the deadline for Tribute Book ads until September 25, and the Club will produce ads free of charge for those who wish to participate. For advertising rates and information:

Telephone: 949-498-5530
Fax: 949-498-1043

This year the Club is honoring Robert W. Bridel, executive director of the American Gem Society with its highest honor, the Excellence in Service Award.

A limited number of tickets and tables are available for this black tie event at $295 per person.

Traditionally the West Coast's most elegant social event in the jewelry industry, the 24 Karat Club's Annual Fall Dinner Dance has taken place since 1944. Donation envelopes will be available at the event.
