Northeastern Fine Jewelry Celebrates Leukemia Survivors and Patients

By Staff -- JCK Online, September 1, 2006

Northeastern Fine Jewelry, with stores in Albany and Schenectady, N.Y., and Manchester Center, Vt., has created a specially designed Heroes & Hope daisy pin to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Upstate New York/Vermont Chapter.

Created exclusively by Olivier François, Northeastern Fine Jewelry's master jeweler, the daisy pin is sterling silver with a 14k yellow gold center. It will retail for $35.

Northeastern Fine Jewelry will donate all net proceeds from sale of the pins to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where the daisy symbolizes the hope of patients, families, friends, and supporters for a cure to this often deadly disease.

The daisy pins will be available year-round at all three of Northeastern Fine Jewelry's stores. Recently, several patients who have been diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood-related illnesses went behind the counter at Northeastern Fine Jewelry's Albany store where they turned sales representatives for a day to unveil the Heroes & Hope daisy pin.

Northeastern Fine Jewelry also donated a portion of all July sales to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help generate money and awareness for its Heroes & Hope event, which was held Aug. 12. For more information about the event, visit www.lls.org/unyheroes.
